job_description.job_card.job_descriptionOperating Room schedule dependent on block availability. Beeper call after clinic hours, including potential 24-hour weekend call. Call volumes are low, with approximately one call per day. Patient Load : 12-15 patients per shift. Perform oncology-focused breast surgeries, including : Lumpectomies. Sentinel node biopsies and axillary dissections. Participation in joint oncoplastic surgeries. Manage high-risk and benign breast conditions as well as survivorship care. Licensure : Must hold a valid California medical license. Experience : Minimum of 100 breast surgeries performed within the last two years (case logs required). Certification : Board Certification in General Surgery is required. Skills : Proficient in handling oncology-focused procedures; no requirement for cosmetic breast surgeries (e.g., reductions or augmentations). EMR System : Epic. Credentialing timeframe : Approximately 60-90 days. No supervision of advanced practice providers or teaching responsibilities required. Competitive compensation with an 8-hour guarantee.
