Responsibilities Work in a blended Cardiovascular ICU and intermediate care unit within a hospital setting Care for cardiac patients aged 16 and older, including those recovering from cardiac surgeries and advanced interventional procedures Unit consists of 18 CVICU beds and 12 CVIMCU beds Common cases include heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, CABG, valve repair / replacement, IABP therapy, Impella, post PCI, pacemaker insertion, and arrhythmias Specialized procedures and support include IABP, continuous renal replacement therapy, targeted temperature management, and ventricular assist devices Night shift position (4 x 12-hour shifts, 19 : 00-07 : 30) Routine floating between CVICU, CVIMCU, and potential float to nearby sister hospital Must be fully COVID vaccinated; no exemptions allowed First time travelers are welcome to apply Return staff must have a 6-month break before reapplying as a traveler Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers Strict RTO policy : all requests for time off must be submitted up front and cannot be changed later Travel pairs may be considered if disclosed at application Robust training and mentorship are provided for advanced cardiac care skills Team is recognized for excellence and fosters professional growth and advanced certification Professional scrubs or attire required according to hospital policy Requirements Active OR RN license in hand; no pending licenses accepted Minimum 2 years of recent cardiovascular ICU or cardiac telemetry experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Telemetry monitoring skills required Epic EMR charting experience required Preferred : CCRN certification Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-642906.
