Position Summary :
The Project Controls Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules to ensure successful execution of work across all phases. You’ll work closely with project managers, stakeholders, to track progress, identify risks, and manage changes related to scope, budget, and timeline. This position plays a key part in project controls by supporting cost tracking, preparing schedule analyses, and ensuring timely communication of project status to both management and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Participate in early planning of work to be performed, ensuring that all essential labor and non-labor elements (including materials, travel, and subcontractor costs) are captured in the development of the schedule.
Develop, update, and maintain project execution schedules, including work breakdown structures and resource loading where appropriate.
Utilize planning tools such as Gantt charts and Critical Path Method (CPM) to build and maintain schedules.
Review schedule content, critical path, milestones, and constraints to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Prepare and present schedule analyses, including milestone variance and critical path reviews, to identify areas of concern and recommend corrective actions.
Track project progress in coordination with project stakeholders to accurately assess performance and forecast completion.
Assist project managers in identifying and managing changes related to scope, schedule, and budget, and facilitate the change management process throughout design and construction phases.
Perform schedule impact analysis for change orders and integrate approved changes into the project schedule.
Support cost control processes by reviewing project cost reports, validating Estimate at Completion, and identifying variances relative to budgets and scope.
Develop and present project control and schedule reporting documents to management and customers to clearly communicate project status and risks.
Maintain detailed and current records of all project work, including drawings, correspondence, schedules, and other key project files.
Qualifications and Expectations :
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, or a similar role in construction or engineering projects.
Proficiency with Primavera P6 and other project scheduling tools.
Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and Gantt chart development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present schedule and project information to stakeholders and management.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Range : $90,000 - $120,000
