Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Ophthalmology

JOB SUMMARY :

Under the supervision of the RN / Licensed Care Provider, responsible for applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of patient care. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Demonstrates clinical competence in performing, assisting and / or documenting tasks and procedures with excellence and quality, per department standards, regulatory guidelines and within scope of practice using age / developmental appropriate approach. Implements plan of care, provides patient and family teaching, follow-up, and discharge (after visit summaries) instructions with excellence and quality, per departmental standards and within scope of practice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Associate's Degree or nursing diploma from an accredited LVN program

Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

One year of experience

At least one year of pediatric experience

Bilingual Spanish

The current salary range for this position is $29.49 to $40.22

A candidate's placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
