Job Summary :

Our firm is seeking a highly organized and detailed oriented mechanical designer responsible for accurately preparing construction documents under the supervision of a Mechanical Engineer. Duties include conducting code research, coordinating with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines, preparing construction drawings and specifications, and construction support services. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is preferred but not required. The position requires proficiency in Autodesk Revit.

This is a full-time position.

  • Essential Functions :

    • Design for federal, commercial, industrial, and / or infrastructure projects.
    • Prepare and HVAC and plumbing construction drawings and technical specifications.
    • Construction support services (review equipment / material submittals, respond to contractor requests for information).
    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
    • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
    • Required Skills / Abilities :

    • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems.
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing code.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to work in an agile work environment with personnel delivering from multiple locations or remotely.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Client (internal and external) service focus.
    • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Education and Experience :

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in commercial HVAC and plumbing design.
    • License and Certification Requirements :

    • Engineer in training certificate – preferred.
    • Valid Driver’s License and Evidence of Insurability.
