Scheduler For Assisted Living And Memory Care

Scheduler for Assisted Living and Memory Care creates and manages staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts, while also handling time-off requests and addressing call-outs. This role is crucial for maintaining quality care and smooth operations in these facilities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Schedule Creation and Management : Developing daily and master schedules for nursing staff (including caregivers medication aides) and other support staff.
  • Shift Coverage : Ensuring each shift is adequately staffed based on resident census, call-offs, and scheduled time-off.
  • Addressing Staffing Needs : Filling open shifts, managing call-outs, and coordinating with staffing agencies when necessary.
  • Time-Off Management : Reviewing and approving time-off requests, and communicating accommodations to staff.
  • Attendance Tracking : Monitoring employee attendance (tardiness, absences), and reporting issues to management.
  • Communication : Maintaining clear communication with staff regarding schedules, changes, and staffing needs.
  • Compliance : Ensuring schedules comply with staffing ratios and regulations.
  • Administrative Tasks : Assisting with various administrative and clerical tasks, such as updating timecards and maintaining employee files.
  • Payroll : May be involved in the bi-weekly timecard approval process for payroll.
  • Maintaining Staff Availability : Keeping an updated list of available PRN (as-needed) staff.
  • Orientation : Ensuring newly hired staff have schedules on their first day.
