LHH Recruitment is looking for a Chemicals Logistics Coordinator to support our client’s team in the Downtown Houston area!

Job Title : Chemicals Logistics Coordinator

Location : Houston, TX 77010

Industry : Chemical / Energy / Logistics

Employment Type : Full-Time (Direct Hire)

Salary Range : $64,000 – $72,000 annually

Schedule : Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Job Summary :

Join our client’s growing logistics team in the chemical and energy sector. The department is responsible for coordinating the movement of bulk chemical products across North America and globally, managing documentation, and ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

As a Chemicals Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting logistics operations, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate records. This is a sales support role focused on ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service. Expertise in SAP and experience with bulk chemical export logistics are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate deliveries of bulk chemicals via truck, rail, barge, and export channels
  • Monitor customer demand and process Purchase Orders
  • Liaise with internal sales teams regarding delivery schedules, pricing, and inventory
  • Negotiate and contract logistics services including carriers and transload facilities
  • Prepare and manage shipping documents including Bills of Lading, export documentation, and invoices
  • Track transaction costs and resolve delivery-related issues
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking and input data into SAP and Excel control sheets
  • Ensure timely payment of freight, demurrage, and logistics costs
  • Handle invoicing, payment processing, and collections
  • Monitor customer credit exposure and report to sales team
  • Provide excellent customer service and general administrative support

Qualifications : Required :

  • 1–4 years of experience in chemical logistics, bulk transportation, or terminal operations
  • Experience in bulk chemical export logistics and international shipping documentation
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in shipping documents, billing, and accounting accrual
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Understanding of supply chain operations and internal control requirement
  • Preferred :

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Credit and accounting knowledge
  • Languages :

  • English (Required)
  • Pay Details : $64,000.00 to $72,000.00 per year
