We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a busy family medical office. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients of all ages, from infants to adults. Responsibilities :
Obtain patient vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
Assist with patient examinations by preparing rooms and equipmentCollect laboratory specimens (blood, urine)Administer medications (oral, topical, injections) as prescribed by the physicianDocument patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)Monitor patient health and report any changes to the physicianAssist with minor procedures as directedProvide basic wound care and medication administrationPrepare patients for immunizations and vaccinationsPatient CareGreet patients and families in a friendly and professional manner
Update patient medical historiesEducate patients on medications, treatments, and preventative careAssist patients with scheduling appointments and referralsProvide emotional support and comfort to patients and familiesAdministrative DutiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Stock and maintain examination roomsAnswer phones and schedule appointmentsPerform other clerical tasks as neededQualifications :
Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of OhioMinimum of 1 year of experience in a family practice or similar settingMust have experince with EKGsMust have experince with venipuncture, blood draw, or blood collectionStrong clinical skills, including assessment, vital signs, medication administration, and phlebotomyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficient in EMR documentationTime management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentCompassionate and patient-centered approach to careCommitment to providing high-quality careAlto Health Care Staffing is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
