Senior Business Data Analyst- Hybrid

Location : Foster City, CA

As a Senior Business Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. With a focus on optimizing business processes, you will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data, and provide actionable insights. Your expertise will drive strategic decisions and enhance operational efficiency, contributing to the company's growth and societal impact.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain detailed business process models to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements and drive consensus among cross-functional teams.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices for business analysis and process improvement methodologies.
  • Create comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Oversee the implementation of business solutions ensuring they meet the defined requirements and deliver expected outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired results.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications for system development.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all business analysis activities.
  • Support change management initiatives by providing training and resources to stakeholders impacted by new processes.
  • Contribute to the development of business analysis frameworks and tools to enhance organizational capabilities.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with emerging trends and technologies in business analysis.

Qualifications

  • Possess a strong background in business analysis with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis and process modeling techniques.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Show expertise in using business analysis tools and software to facilitate requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Have a proven track record of successfully implementing business solutions that drive organizational success.
  • Display a keen understanding of industry standards and best practices in business analysis.
  • Maintain a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of business analysis.
  • Certifications Required

    Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification preferred.

    Salary and Other Compensation :

    Applications will be accepted until 09 / 2 / 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $49,001$92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
