Job Title : Systems Engineer

Location : Pasadena, CA (Hybrid / On-site)

Employment Type : Full-Time

About the Role :

An innovative aerospace organization is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design and delivery of a next-generation lunar product. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams and direct engagement with customers to define and manage system requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the full product lifecycle—from concept through deployment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Define, control, and execute systems engineering processes for successful product design.
  • Derive and manage system and product requirements from customer specifications.
  • Lead requirements definition for spaceflight projects, with a focus on Earth observation, risk management, and hardware / software integration.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure cohesive system architecture and design.
  • Author technical documentation and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years of Systems Engineering experience with spaceflight products.
  • Proven expertise in requirements management and systems integration.
  • Strong interdisciplinary knowledge across software, hardware, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience supporting the design phase of product development.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with new product development in the aerospace sector.
  • Hands-on involvement in spaceflight missions, particularly lunar or Mars programs.
  • Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, Cameo, or similar requirements management platforms.

    • Work Environment :

    This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver products that will be deployed in space on accelerated timelines. With a small, agile team and a high

    volume of active programs, engineers are empowered to work across the full product lifecycle. Projects are highly customized and span a range of missions,

    including lunar and Mars exploration.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00 / hr.
