Senior Accounting Analyst
We're looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join Principal as a Senior Accounting Analyst on the Benefits & Protection Accounting Team. This team offers the opportunity to collaborate with business unit partners, providing technical expertise and oversight on complex transactions and enterprise-wide projects. In this role, you'll research unique and challenging transactions to determine the appropriate accounting treatment. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for the business while ensuring the integrity of financial statements.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience
6+ years of relevant experience required
Public Accounting experience is ideal
GAAP & Statutory experience is recommended
Experience with reinsurance and / or insurance is ideal
CPA or other applicable certifications preferred
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and / or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
$106400 - $125400 / year
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
