Artificial Intelligence App Developer

Job Summary :

• Design build and support custom applications and data integrations to enhance agency operations.
• Develop train and optimize machine learning models using frameworks such as Scikit-Learn TensorFlow PyTorch or Keras.
• Integrate AI models into secure on-premise applications and services.
• Experiment with large language models (LLMs) and AI agentic tools for internal automation and analytics.
• Perform data preprocessing feature engineering and model evaluation on structured and unstructured data from multiple internal sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) protection standards.
• Work with analysts investigators and IT staff to identify and implement AI-driven operational improvements.
• Participate in code reviews testing and deployment within a collaborative team setting.
• Continuously research learn and prototype emerging AI tools while maintaining strong data governance.
• Apply secure coding principles and CJIS data protection requirements.
• Write optimized SQL queries and develop APIs / services to expose ML models to internal systems.
• Communicate effectively with users and technical staff.
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Stay updated on new AI tools and responsible data practices.
• Perform other related duties as required.
