We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Field Manager for Japanese manufacturing client to oversee and coordinate field operations, electric machine installatio n across multiple sites.
Salary : 80-150K
Primarily remote work : Work is performed predominantly remotely. Travel to client sites is required from home, and attendance at the main office is approximately once a month.

Responsibilities
- ?Administrative / Management
- Manage field service engineers and determine service or installation schedules.
- Educate and direct team members as a technical lead.
- Plan projects and manage quality, cost, and progress, including management of outside contractors and rigging companies during machine installations.
- Work closely with team members and employees of related departments to ensure smooth communication.
- Create materials for procuring the equipment and parts required for the service and notify the person in charge.
- ?Service (Hands-on)
- Install new machines (Stamping Presses and Feeding Equipment) at client site.
- Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment failures, specifically regarding electrical controls, PLCs, motors, and drives, as well as mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to perform complex repairs.
- Providing technical training on new equipment installations to the client employees.
- Conducting routine equipment servicing out in the field.
- Meeting with the customer to determine the nature of the service or repair.
- Create reports for all service work and report to the EVP.
- Take orders of service parts from clients and inform Customer Service to process orders.
- Manage the workflow as per the given schedule.
- Assist shipping and receiving as needed.

- Conduct research of the needs of clients.
- Answers to the technical questions from the clients.
- Create information documents to support sales when no service tasks available.
- Assist with planning and attend various local and National tradeshows.
Qualifications
High School degree or a technical diploma in a relevant field (Engineering / Electronics preferred).5+ years of field service experience in the Metal Stamping / Forming industry.Strong Electrical background is required; ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot PLCs (Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley), motors, and drives.Hands-on experience with Coil Feeding Systems (Feeders) is highly preferred.Experience managing outside contractors, rigging companies, or installation projects.Must be fluent in English. (Japanese language skill is a plus, but not required).Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheet software, and database applications.Able to go on overnight and international business trips (up to 75% travel / Road Warrior status).Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.Able to lift 30-40lb.
