Position Overview :

WeCare Medical Specialty Group is seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and highly motivated Remote Software Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of our custom healthcare software solutions. This individual will play a critical role in building scalable, secure, and efficient systems that support our clinical and administrative teams nationwide. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has experience building high-quality software applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web-based and backend healthcare applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, clinicians, and operations to understand software requirements.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that follows industry best practices.

Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design and technology selection.

Optimize existing software for speed, scalability, and reliability.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in existing applications.

Maintain data security and privacy standards in accordance with HIPAA and other healthcare compliance regulations.

Contribute to DevOps practices such as CI / CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control.

Stay up to date with the latest trends in software development, cloud technologies, and healthcare IT.

Qualifications : Required :

U.S. Citizenship or Valid U.S. Work Permit (Required)

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or Full-Stack Developer.

Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript (Node.js, React), Python, Java, or C#.

Experience with modern web development frameworks and RESTful API integration.

Familiarity with relational and / or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git / GitHub).

Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred :

Prior experience in healthcare software development or working with EHR / EMR systems.

Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare data privacy standards.

Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud infrastructure platforms.

Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
