Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a GA or compact RN license, with ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

Work in the Interventional Radiology unit with one IR suite and one OR hybrid room

Supports IR and vascular surgeons in a hospital setting, working with adult and geriatric patients

Average daily census is 15 patients

Required to float to IR, ER, and ICU units as needed

Day shift schedule : four 10-hour shifts per week from 7 : 00 to 17 : 30

Every other weekend coverage required

On-call requirement of 4-5 shifts per month

Uses Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience preferred but not required

First-time travelers are eligible for this position

Must wear scrubs in any color

Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed, but none in the first week or during Spring Break (April 6-12)

Travelers are expected to work major holidays as scheduled according to assignment length

No blocked scheduling permitted

Travel pairs are not assigned to the same shift on the same unit

Locals are accepted at the same rate

Candidates who have been deemed unable to return to one facility must complete a successful assignment outside the system before rebooking

Requirements

Active GA or compact state RN license required

Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required

Experience in IR, ER, or ICU settings required

Two supervisory references required for consideration

Must not have been a permanent or PRN employee at any Piedmont facility within the past year
