Technical Project Manager

Job Summary
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) leads planning, execution, and operational readiness for automated scoring initiatives across multiple assessment programs. The TPM coordinates portfolio and project schedules, development sprints, model‑building data intake, and go‑live activities, ensuring models are built, qualified, and deployed on time with stable production performance. This role bridges product, data science / ML, engineering, scoring operations, and client teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review cross‑program schedules and maintain summarized timelines focused on model‑building start / finish, training, operational go‑live windows, and operational performance.
- Align sprint goals to upcoming operational scoring windows; coordinate bug fixes and planned product enhancements.
- Define backlog items, acceptance criteria, and readiness gates; track burn‑down and release notes for each model cohort.
- Maintain backlogs, sprint cadences, and dashboards for teams using Jira and / or Azure DevOps; ensure parity of tracking with Azure DevOps when projects span both tools.
- Coordinate receipt, validation, and review of data inputs to ensure operational readiness.
- Oversee automated scoring queue throughput, track gating / qualification outcomes, and drive corrective actions with the automated scoring team and scoring leadership.
- Ensure continuous tracking of Inter-Rater Reliability (IRR) metrics and scoring exception handling.
- Coordinate change requests, incident triage, and post‑deployment reviews.
- Maintain Automated Scoring SharePoint site, startup guides, checklists, runbooks, and model configuration records.
- Log RAID items, manage dependencies with assessment operations, and ensure data handling aligns with program requirements and internal policies.
