    Position Information

    We are seeking a knowledgeable Project Manager to support the Director of the Institute for Advancing Health Through Agriculture and the department in managing project activities, including the development, implementation, and tracking of budgets, timelines, and deliverables. The role also includes providing periodic evaluations and reports for projects that are typically large in scope.

    Responsibilities :

  • Manages animal research projects, including planning, budgeting, tracking timelines, and reporting.
  • Defines project goals, ensures alignment with institutional priorities, and engages key stakeholders.
  • Coordinates resources and project teams; monitors quality and performance.
  • Applies best practices in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and project execution.
  • Tracks project budgets and schedules with moderate financial impact.
  • Supervises project staff and supports cross-functional collaboration.
  • Conducts research and assists with special projects as assigned by the director.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.
  • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Seven years of related experience
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Ph.D. in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Seven years of related experience in academic leadership.

  • Experience in laboratory and animal research
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Other Requirements :

  • Ability to lift or move light, moderate, and heavy objects. Ability to exert light force.
  • Work beyond normal office hours and / or work on weekends as needed.
  • What You Need to Know

    Salary : Compensation for this position is commensurate based on the selected candidate’s qualifications.

    Schedule : Part-time

    Flexible Work Arrangements : Flexible work schedule and remote work may be available for this position, pending employee eligibility requirements are met in accordance with AgriLife Alternate Work Location Procedures.
