Pathology - Surgical Pathologist

The Department of Pathology of Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine is seeking a surgical pathologist to cover our expanding areas of service.

Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent and be AP or AP / CP Board-certified / eligible. Individuals will be required to obtain a medical license in the State of Illinois. Strong diagnostic skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong work ethic abilities are essential. A record or a potential for academic and scholarly accomplishments indicating commitment to academic career is desirable.

The successful candidate will join a cohesive team of sub specialized surgical pathologists who handle approximately 35,000 surgical specimens annually. Ample opportunities for clinical / translational research and multidisciplinary collaboration with investigators of the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center are available.

MacNeal is a 374-licensed-bed teaching hospital in Berwyn with advanced medical, surgical and psychiatric services, acute rehabilitation, an inpatient skilled nursing facility and a 68-bed behavioral health program and community clinics.
