AireSpring, a leading provider in next-gen telecom and SaaS-based networking solutions, is seeking a high-impact, senior-level Sales Solutions Engineer to join our team. This is a critical and high-visibility role replacing a deeply experienced predecessor—ideal for a seasoned technical leader ready to take charge and help shape revenue-driving strategies across cutting-edge services like SD-WAN, UCaaS, CCaaS, Security, and Cloud Connectivity.
This role is designed for a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced, partner-driven sales environment. You will be the technical backbone of the sales team, architecting customer solutions, building compelling proposals, and translating technical needs into scalable implementations.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the key technical advisor to our Account Executives and Channel Partners, owning the technical portion of the sales cycle from discovery through implementation hand-off.
- Develop custom network and cloud solutions across diverse customer verticals and environments.
- Engage directly with customers and partners to conduct technical deep-dives, requirements gathering, and whiteboarding sessions.
- Create compelling sales collateral such as Visio diagrams, Scapple mind maps, solution documents, and technical presentations.
- Respond to RFPs / RFIs, lead live and virtual demos (portals, orchestrators, etc.), and support trials to demonstrate technical fit.
- Deliver engaging webinars, internal and external product trainings, and sales enablement content in partnership with Marketing and Product teams.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to develop and enhance offerings based on field feedback.
- Support post-sales handoff with thorough documentation and onboarding assistance to ensure a smooth transition to implementation teams.
- Represent AireSpring at industry events, trade shows, and partner summits to drive brand and solution awareness.
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience & Skills
Proven experience (5+ years) in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or solutions architect role in telecom, managed services, or SaaS / SD-WAN environments.Deep relationships and credibility with key Technology Solutions Distributors (TSDs) such as Telarus, AVANT, Intelisys, Sandler, TBI, and others.Direct experience designing and supporting solutions using : SD-WAN technologies : VMware / VeloCloud, Fortinet (or equivalent)Firewalls : Fortinet (NAT / PAT rules, VPN, AAA)CPE : Cisco, Adtran, JuniperWAN & last mile technologies : Fiber, Copper, LTE, SatelliteRouting & Switching : TCP / IP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP / VRRP / GLBPSIP Trunking : SSCA cert a plusUCaaS & Hosted PBX : Cisco, MetaSwitch, Microsoft TeamsCloud : AWS, Azure, GCP (focus on Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, etc.)CCaaS and Hosted Agent PlatformsLegacy PSTN, DID, Analog / Fax supportIPsec VPN setup and troubleshootingPreferred Qualifications
