Hoops HR is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Coordinator on behalf of a leading insurance agency to join their team! (Target hire date October-November 2025.)
Office Location : Austin, TX.
Work Hours : Full time position, hybrid work schedule with flexible start / end times between 7 : 45am - 5 : 00pm. Will need to be onsite for onboarding, then transition to a hybrid schedule (2-3 days a week in-office)

Commercial Lines Account Coordinator - Role Overview :
The Account Coordinator will assist Commercial Account Managers and the team in the day-to-day service of assigned accounts, processing of documents, and maintaining computer-based client files. Must provide prompt, accurate, and courteous account service to clients, co-workers, and insurance company representatives.
Commercial Lines Account Coordinator - Role Responsibilities :
Supports middle to large commercial insurance client accountsMulti-task in a fast-paced environment handling a large volume of calls, emails, faxes, and paperwork without cutting corners while maintaining accuracy and integrityManage a large number of time-sensitive client issues at any given timeProvide top-notch client service to clientsResearch coverage issues and think outside the box to solve problems, following up promptly with actionable solutionsResolve client issues in a timely manner proactively and collaboratively with the team to ensure insurance programs run smoothlyIssue Certification of Insurance (COI’s) timelyResolve billing issues and reinstatements with carriers / clientsEnsure accuracy, successful implementation, and ongoing administration of commercial insurance programsLearn & develop technical knowledge through vendor meetings, research and training classes on an ongoing basisKeep a detailed record of correspondence through the agency's management system with prospective and existing clients, vendors, and referral partnersCommercial Lines Account Coordinator Requirements :
6+ months to 1 year of related insurance experience required (customer service, claims, billing, etc.)Active TX State Property and Casualty Insurance license highly preferred (must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment; failure to do so will result in termination)Ideal candidates have worked in commercial insurance within an insurance agency and / or for independent insurance offices (i.e. State Farm, Allstate, Liberty Mutual, etc.) and are looking to grow their insurance career in a bigger company with more opportunities!Associate’s Degree preferred, but not required (or equivalent in education and experience)Tech Savvy; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) preferredExperience with Applied Epic (Insurance Agency Software) a plusModerate level of technical-commercial insurance coverage knowledge a plusEEOC
