Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Moorpark, California. This role involves managing high-volume invoice processing and requires a proactive approach to vendor relations and reconciliation tasks. As a Contract to permanent position, it offers the opportunity to transition into a long-term role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities :

• Process a high volume of invoices each week, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
• Reconcile statements and identify discrepancies, taking the necessary steps to resolve them promptly.
• Provide support for Accounts Payable needs at the store level, ensuring smooth operations.
• Utilize intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis, to organize and interpret financial data.
• Handle invoice coding and account coding with precision.
• Process Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and manage check runs efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and enhance overall efficiency. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years' experience in Accounts Payable or a related role.
• Proficiency in invoice coding and account coding processes.
• Hands-on experience with high-volume invoice processing.
• Strong knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) and check run procedures.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to create pivot tables and analyze data.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Effective communication abilities to manage vendor relationships and handle inquiries.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
