120-140k (depending on experience) with 15% bonus target

Provide health and safety support to employees and contractors for a chemical company in the Houston area. We are seeking a professional with strong plant safety skills who would like to build leadership skills. This role will be considered for an EHS Manager role with the incumbent retires in a few years. This company plans to expand heavily over the next 5 years.

• Communicate safety standards and applicable regulations and promote safe behaviors
• Assist with hazard identification and control to minimize and mitigate risks
• Champion and promote a strong EHS culture throughout the organization and drive continuous improvement
• Lead the development, training, implementation, and monitoring of EHS policies, procedures, and programs
• Ensure that all processes and modifications to existing processes have been critically reviewed for PSM, risk management, and EHS considerations
• Provides technical review of Management of Change (MOC) documents as needed.
• Facilitates the Safety Committees and sub-committees including monthly and weekly Committee communication initiatives.
• Owns and leads the contractor safety management program.
• Maintain the emergency response plan
