Plumbing Engineer

Are you a seasoned Plumbing Engineer with a passion for designing complex plumbing systems for healthcare and commercial projects in the Atlanta market?

Our client, a well-established MEP firm, is seeking a talented Plumbing Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of plumbing systems for a variety of projects.

About the Role :

  • Plumbing System Design : Lead the design and engineering of domestic water, sanitary, storm, natural gas, and specialty plumbing systems.
  • Technical Documentation : Develop and review detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Code Compliance : Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and national building codes (IPC, UPC, NFPA, ASPE).
  • Hydraulic Calculations : Perform and oversee hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and fixture unit calculations.
  • Software Utilization : Utilize design software such as Revit and plumbing calculation tools.
  • Project Management : Oversee multiple projects, managing deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Quality Assurance : Ensure quality assurance and quality control (QA / QC) processes are followed.
  • Field Inspections : Conduct field visits for inspections, testing, and commissioning of plumbing systems.

Who You Are :

  • Educated Professional : You hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experienced Plumbing Engineer : You have 7+ years of plumbing engineering experience.
  • Technical Expertise : You are knowledgeable in various plumbing and fire protection system designs.
  • Revit Proficient : You are proficient in Revit.
  • Code Expert : You have a strong understanding of relevant plumbing codes.
  • Detail-Oriented : You are meticulous in your work and committed to producing accurate designs and documentation.

    • Required Skills :

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of plumbing engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of plumbing and fire protection system designs.
  • Revit Proficiency.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • PE License.
  • Medical Gas System Design Experience.
  • Sustainable Design (LEED Accreditation).

    • Salary Range :

  • 75,000 - $105,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
