We are seeking an experienced Health Center Nurse (HCN) for a well-known health care facility in Fresno, CA. The HCN plays a key leadership role in overseeing the back-office clinical team. Under administrative direction, the HCN provides support and supervision to medical assistants, ensures quality patient care, and collaborates closely with providers and clinic leadership. This role includes direct patient interaction and implementation of clinical protocols, ensuring a high standard of care across all services.

Pay Rate : $38.00 / HR
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise, manage, and schedule medical assistants to maintain optimal provider ratios.
- Evaluate staff performance and support professional growth.
- Provide leadership in clinic; model best practices in patient care.
- Conduct clinical audits and enforce adherence to policies and procedures.
- Ensure clinical readiness and compliance with safety, quality, and care standards.
- Support EHR training and functionality; monitor workflow compliance.
- Coordinate patient-centered care plans and improvement programs.
- Provide direct patient care within scope of RN / LVN license (e.g., IV starts, medication administration, blood draws).
- Act as a clinic leader in the absence of management or providers.
- Oversee preparation and compliance for regulatory visits and inspections.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team-based care meetings.
- Coordinate care transitions, specialty referrals, and patient follow-ups.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications :
Current Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) from an accredited program.Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) considered with applicable experience.Current CPR certificationValid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle1+ year of supervisory or management experience in a clinical setting2+ years’ experience in outpatient care or clinic operationsExperience with federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) a plusBilingual (English / Spanish) preferredSkills & Competencies :
