Join our team! As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle. In this role, you will assist in executing equipment environmental qualification in support of FAA civil certification and military certification of the Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) aircraft. Tasks include developing and maintaining an environmental qualification database; allocation of qualification requirements to individual equipment items; coordination with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and subcontractors regarding qualification efforts; developing templates for qualification plans, procedures, and reports; and reviewing qualification artifacts to ensure compliance prior to submittal to the certification team.

Responsibilities

• Environmental qualification database development and maintenance
• Environmental qualification requirements allocation to individual equipment
• Evaluation of qualification artifacts against equipment qualification requirements, including initial qualification gap assessments (assessment of existing data) and final evaluation of program artifacts developed for SAOC
• Preparation of templates for qualification plans, procedures, and reports for use by IPTs and subcontractors
• Coordination with and support of IPTs and subcontractors to ensure qualification requirements are understood and qualification plans are developed and successfully executed
