    Overview

    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support and care to an individual that is Deaf and Autistic. He is a 36 year old male that lives in Escondido, Ca. As a DSP, you will assist our client with daily living activities and ensure his well-being while fostering independence and dignity.

    The work location will be at his house in Escondido.

    Duties

    • Provide direct support to client in his daily activities, including personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as , cleaning, meal preparation, etc.
    • No bathing, No grooming, he does this independently.

    • Monitor his health and report any changes in condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
    • Assist client with transportation to nearby stores or appointments, ensuring his safety during outings or appointments.
    • Engage client in social activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction.
    • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
    • Document client progress and any incidents accurately in accordance with company policies.
    • Provide companionship and emotional support to client, fostering a trusting relationship.
    • Offer support with and redirect any negative behavior that may arise.
    • Requirements

    • Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred, but not necessary .
    • experience with ASL and Autism is preferred, but not necessary as long as you are committed to learning while on the clock.
    • Certification in CPR is a plus.
    • Ability to perform patient monitoring tasks effectively.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and willingness to work as a dependable team member.
    • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
    • Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations and initial drug screen.

      Current Schedule needs :

      Saturday : 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm

      Sunday : 7am-4pm & 4pm-10pm

      Tuesday-Friday : 2pm-10pm

      We also have some other open shifts available.

      at times, we may require support in picking up or covering shifts.

      Job Types : Full-time, Part-time

      Pay : $20.00 - $24 per hour

      Expected hours : 20 – 50 per week
