Job Description :

We are seeking a dedicated Anesthesiologist to join a high-performing anesthesia team in a hospital setting. This locum opportunity offers a consistent daytime schedule with no call requirements.

Responsibilities :

Assist in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department

Provide medical management for patients undergoing surgical and other medical procedures

Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain / verifies patient consent

Discuss anesthetic options and associated risks with patients

Administer induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia

Monitor patients’ physiological conditions throughout procedures

Perform clinical interventions as needed

Case Types :

General, Orthopedic, Obstetrics

Team Structure : MDs supervise CRNAs

CRNA to MD ratio : 2 : 1

MDs also perform their own cases

20 anesthesia rooms onsite

Requirements :

M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine

Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesiology

ECFMG and FLEX certification

Active Illinois medical license (required at time of submission)

Familiarity with iPro and Epic charting systems

Additional Information :

No in-house or pager call required

Overtime is not expected but may be offered
