Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer with extensive hands-on experience in implementing and customizing IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in ServiceNow development, a solid understanding of ITIL best practices , and a collaborative approach to delivering scalable, high-quality solutions.

In addition to ITSM, this role requires experience with the Financial Services Operations (FSO) module and a working knowledge of Service Portal or Employee Centre functionalities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable ServiceNow solutions across ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, CMDB, Service Catalog , and FSO .
  • Customize and configure forms, workflows, business rules, UI policies / actions, client / server-side scripts, and notifications.
  • Build and maintain Flow Designer flows , Scripted REST APIs , and Integration Hub spokes for automation and integrations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs and solutions.
  • Ensure alignment with platform best practices and architectural standards in collaboration with other developers and architects.
  • Develop and extend custom Scoped Applications as needed.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and issue resolution to maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Engage in Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives) and contribute to sprint goals.
  • Support platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including design specs, test cases, and user guides.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Proven experience implementing / customizing 2–3+ core ITSM modules .
  • Proficient in JavaScript , Glide APIs , and ServiceNow development best practices.
  • Strong experience with Flow Designer , Business Rules , Script Includes , Client Scripts , and UI Policies .
  • Familiarity with Service Catalogs , Record Producers , and associated workflows.
  • Experience working with Service Portal and / or Employee Center .
  • Solid understanding of CMDB architecture and maintenance .
  • Integration experience using REST , SOAP , MID Server , and Integration Hub .
  • Exposure to Automated Test Framework (ATF) for unit and regression testing.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL V3 / V4 frameworks.
  • Experience in Financial Services Operations environments.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Agile / Scrum team experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM – Preferred
