Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer with extensive hands-on experience in implementing and customizing IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in ServiceNow development, a solid understanding of ITIL best practices , and a collaborative approach to delivering scalable, high-quality solutions.
In addition to ITSM, this role requires experience with the Financial Services Operations (FSO) module and a working knowledge of Service Portal or Employee Centre functionalities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable ServiceNow solutions across ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, CMDB, Service Catalog , and FSO .
- Customize and configure forms, workflows, business rules, UI policies / actions, client / server-side scripts, and notifications.
- Build and maintain Flow Designer flows , Scripted REST APIs , and Integration Hub spokes for automation and integrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs and solutions.
- Ensure alignment with platform best practices and architectural standards in collaboration with other developers and architects.
- Develop and extend custom Scoped Applications as needed.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and issue resolution to maintain high-quality deliverables.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives) and contribute to sprint goals.
- Support platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including design specs, test cases, and user guides.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.Proven experience implementing / customizing 2–3+ core ITSM modules .Proficient in JavaScript , Glide APIs , and ServiceNow development best practices.Strong experience with Flow Designer , Business Rules , Script Includes , Client Scripts , and UI Policies .Familiarity with Service Catalogs , Record Producers , and associated workflows.Experience working with Service Portal and / or Employee Center .Solid understanding of CMDB architecture and maintenance .Integration experience using REST , SOAP , MID Server , and Integration Hub .Exposure to Automated Test Framework (ATF) for unit and regression testing.Working knowledge of ITIL V3 / V4 frameworks.Experience in Financial Services Operations environments.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Agile / Scrum team experience.Preferred Qualifications
