Sales and Use Tax Senior

Our State and Local Tax team is looking for a Sales Tax Senior Associate with a background in consulting.

As a Sales Tax Senior, you will :

Review clients' accounts payable records and capital expenditures for sales and use tax overpayments, work to reduce client's tax audits, and assist with strategic tax planning.

Code and enter findings and results into Excel spreadsheets.

Prepare Report of Findings and training materials for clients.

Prepare required documentation (spreadsheets, forms, copies, etc.) to validate tax refunds.

Communicate and meet with various tax authorities and vendors to obtain tax refunds on behalf of clients.

Prepare status reports for clients.

Research tax laws for exemptions and tax savings for clients.

What you bring to the role :

Bachelor's degree in Business, preferably in Accounting or Finance.

Ability to work in a team environment and understand the importance of providing the highest level of service to clients.

Organizational skills, with the ability to be detail oriented and thoroughly verify work for completeness and accuracy.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Familiarity with Access is a plus. Accounts payable experience is required.

The salary range for this position is included below. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
