Overview
This position works under the direction of the Manager of Enterprise Security Operations to provide security and personnel protection for executives and directors through area surveillance, persistent presence, vigilant awareness, proactive engagement and effective response to threatening conditions.
Responsibilities
Personnel Protection and Security - Maintains a heightened level of surveillance and awareness for potential or emerging threats to safety. Rapidly assesses and responds to threats with expert, decisive action. Provides sound tactical direction to fellow security staff. Facilitates the safe shelter or evacuation of those at risk of harm. Engages potential or emerging threats to effectively stop or substantially reduce the risk of harm to others.
Crisis / Incident Management - Manages to a safe conclusion, incidents of crime or crises that present threatening conditions on Bank premises and / or toward Bank personnel, clients, or guests. Communicates and coordinates with responding law enforcement officers to facilitate a professional and effective intervention and resolution of threatening or unlawful conditions. Utilizes de-escalation techniques.
Law Enforcement and Security Expertise - Maintains a strong current knowledge of personnel protection and security protocols, criminal codes, and the policies and procedures of the law enforcement agency with which the individual is primarily employed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Law Enforcement OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Law Enforcement
Preferred :
Knowledge of personnel protection, physical security protocols, incident response and management,
Knowledge of criminal codes, law enforcement policies and procedures of the primary law enforcement employer, crisis intervention and de-escalation, and proportional engagement.
Preferred Area of Experience : Law Enforcement Leadership
License or Certification : State or Federally Certified Law Enforcement Officer, State of North Carolina Justice Academy or United States
