The Captain shall have a valid U.S.
Coast Guard (USCG) issued Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) as Master of Steam or Motor Vessels of appropriate tonnage (50-ton or 100-ton) upon the Great Lakes and Inland Waters, Near Costal or Unlimited.
They must be a U.S.
Citizen.
The Captain shall, at all times, have the sole responsibility for ensuring the safety and security of the vessel, the passengers, and the crew.
They shall ensure that all applicable rules and regulations are followed for each vessel they are assigned to operate, and assume responsibility for seeing that the vessel and its crew are ready to accept passengers, provide the tour, and associated activities in a professional and timely manner.

– FCC Marine Radio Operator Permit
