Full-Time, Part-Time and Per-Diem Available

As a Program Assistant / Activities Assistant,  you will provide loving care and assistance to our members by helping them with activities, personal and medical care, meals, and on and off-site social activities. Yes, our Program Assistants are most definitely ACTIVE!! Our Program Assistants are always smiling and creating a warm and welcoming environment, all while ensuring our members are safe, happy, and well.

    • Responsibilities

    As a Program Assistant / Activities Assistant, your responsibilities will include :

  • Assisting members with activities, personal care and some medical care
  • Assisting with the planning and facilitation of fun, creative and diverse recreational programs and encourage member participation.
  • Serving meals and assisting with meals
  • Ensuring our members enjoy a loving and caring environment that will bring joy to our members’ heart and a smile to their faces!

    • Qualifications

    As a Program Assistant / Activities Assistant, you will have the following qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred or a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • One-year full-time equivalent experience in a health care setting preferred.
  • Prior experience working with seniors and / or adults with special needs preferred.
  • This is a very physical job - we are ACTIVE Day after all!   As a result, you will need to be able to :
  • Push, pull, lift, transfer, pivot at least 50 pounds.
  • Sit, Stand and / or Walk up to 8 hours a day
