We are looking for an experienced, hands-on HR Director. This position is located in the corporate office and some travel may be required. The ideal candidate should have strong communication (verbal and written), attention to detail, management skills, adaptability, high energy, time management (able to handle high volume in fast paced environment), critical thinking, sound judgement, and be exceptionally organized. Oversee the daily work of the department ensuring efficiency and quality.Daily communication with operations and managers to advise / coach on compliance, complaints, and performance concerns.Handle disciplinary matters and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.All HR Generalist tasks for cross training purposes and / or as assigned.Lead investigations and make recommendations based on investigation findings as directed.Become the expert on in-house systems and processes.Ensure compliance with DOT areas such as Driver Qualification, randoms, hazmat training, and drug and alcohol policies.Department audits / quality control.Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing and retention.Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s HR compliance and strategy needs.Administer or oversee the administration of HR programs including, but not limited to : training and development, compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance, talent acquisition and management, productivity, recognition, and morale.Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s systems.Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.Periodic travel to the field markets as need arises.Attend corporate meetings as required.Recruit, interview, hire, and train new HR staff and managers as applicable.Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations for all HR staff; facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.Lead regular and documented weekly check ins with managers and HR staff.Continue to grow through experience and continuing education, and provide leadership to the HR Department.Perform other duties as required.Requirements :
