3rd Shift Industrial Cleaning / Sanitation

PrideStaff is seeking a Food Safety & Sanitation Specialist on behalf of a food manufacturer in West Palm Beach. This is a full-time, 3rd shift, hourly position with an emphasis on ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and food safety.

Our chosen Food Safety & Sanitation Specialist will be responsible for the daily teardown, cleaning, sanitizing, and setup of food processing equipment and facility areas in preparation for production. The role requires knowledge of equipment function, facility sanitation, and production line setup, with strict adherence to SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, GFSI, and all applicable safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities :

Perform detailed cleaning, sanitation, and setup of equipment and facility areas.

Clean, sanitize, disassemble, assemble, and set up food manufacturing equipment to prevent product contamination.

Safely handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals in proper quantities according to procedures.

Mix cleaning solutions and test chemical concentrations to verify compliance with SSOPs.

Observe Clean in Place (CIP) operations and monitor gauges, thermometers, and controls to maintain required conditions.

Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, checklists, and chemical usage.

Inspect valves, pumps, and other equipment for proper function and sanitation readiness.

Report equipment malfunctions or issues to the Sanitation Manager or Supervisor.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure all sanitation and setup duties are completed thoroughly and on time.

Maintain PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and chemical storage areas in a clean and sanitary fashion.

Follow all safety guidelines, good housekeeping practices, and personal hygiene requirements.

Understand and apply Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information for all chemicals used.

Take proper precautions to avoid damage to equipment, including electrical wiring and control panels.

Qualifications :

A high school diploma or GED is preferred; relevant work experience will be considered.

At least 1 year of food manufacturing or sanitation experience is required.

Knowledge of food production equipment, cleaning techniques, and food safety standards.

Ability to assemble, disassemble, and set up production line equipment.

Skilled in operations monitoring, including reading gauges, dials, and indicators.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to follow safety rules, GMPs, SSOPs, and all company policies.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $18.00 - $18.50 Per Hour
