Senior Manager Program Manager (Value Stream Leader) Civil Space

The Senior Manager Program Manager (Value Stream Leader) Civil Space will support the Space Launch Systems (SLS) business and will be responsible for managing program plans, schedule, budget, customer interfaces, and overall execution. This role provides the opportunity to monitor strategic planning efforts, present progress reports and value-stream strategies, recommend solutions for program problems, manage the P&L and multiple vendors, and supports contract negotiations.
What You Will Do
- Leads program to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his / her responsibility.
- Leads pursuit activities for competitive and sole-sources activities.
- Manages the P&L of the program to ensure financial commitment targets are met.
- Develops milestones, program plans, schedules and budgets for programs to ensure that the organization's objectives are met.
- Consolidates and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s) and manages value-stream strategy and progress.
- Monitors strategic planning efforts for medium and / or complex programs.
- Demonstrates continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Identifies and reacts to program problems and recommends solutions, such as allocation of resources, changing contractual specifications, and coordinating responses to customer action items.
- Supports the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization's interests.
- Interfaces with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion.
- Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
- Coordinates the negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets and contracts for programs.
- Establishes cost-focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.Qualifications We Prefer
Have experience with products and / or systems in the space industry or NASA programs.Technical and / or Operations background.Proven leadership managing program cost & scope.Experienced with EVMS program management and R&O management.What We Offer

Position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD.
