Survey Project Manager

Key Responsibilities :
Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to survey staff and field crews.
Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality results.
Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and manage contracts for survey and construction projects.
Review and prepare CAD drawings for boundary surveys, topographic maps, ALTA / NSPS surveys, land title surveys, as-built surveys, subdivision maps, and other survey-related documentation.
Process submittals with city, county, and public agencies, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Coordinate construction bid document preparation and manage contract administration.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, public agencies, and internal teams to ensure project success. Qualifications :
Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
Experience in office mapping and survey project management for private land development and public works projects, particularly in California.
Strong knowledge of California jurisdictional codes, local municipal standards, and regulatory procedures.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office; familiarity with Carlson software is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to prepare construction staking calculations, take-offs, legal descriptions, closure calculations, boundary analysis, and exhibits.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Direct daily activities for field crews and coordinate with project engineers and survey analysts.
Schedule field staff, evaluate performance, and manage project budgets and contract hours.
