Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education teaching opportunity is available for a committed educator in the Charleston, SC area, including locations such as James Island and Mt. Pleasant. This contract role is designed for a full-time, onsite position focused on serving K-12 students with mild to moderate disabilities.

Key responsibilities include :

• Managing an average-sized caseload of students across grades K-12 with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Providing specialized instruction and support in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies for student success.
• Adhering to general special education duties within the school setting.
• Committing to a 5-day per week, 40-hour onsite schedule during the academic year.

This opportunity offers placement at a single school location, with the district assigning candidates based on their qualifications, experience, and proximity to the school sites within the Charleston area. Candidates must be available for onsite work; virtual or remote candidates will not be considered.
