We offer attractive sign-on bonuses for qualifying full-time roles : $7,500 for Direct Care Respiratory Therapists with at least one year of experience ($5,000 for those with less than one year). This position does not include management duties and reports to a supervisor, manager, or higher executive.
Minimum Requirements
Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program recognized by the AMA or equivalent. Must be eligible for licensure in South Carolina or be a senior student graduating within the next three months.
Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses
Candidates must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina or eligible for licensure and possess BLS certification. NBRC credentials are mandatory. Employees hired prior to June 2016 may hold the Certified Respiratory Therapist credential.
Individuals hired after June 2016 must achieve passing scores on the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam and Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation; failure to do so may result in termination from Prisma Health.
NRP and PALS certification is required at the Children's Hospital for independent work in NICU and PICU.
Other Required Skills and Experience
Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills are essential.
