Position Title : Mid‐Level Mechanical Engineer

Location : Remote

Position Summary

We are seeking a Mid‐Level Mechanical Engineer with 5–10 years of hands‐on design experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial mechanical systems and be proficient in AutoCAD and / or Revit MEP. Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other life‐science projects is highly desirable but not mandatory. This role requires excellent English‐language communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multi‐disciplinary design team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical design drawings and specifications for industrial facilities, including HVAC systems, process piping, plumbing, and clean utilities
  • Size and specify mechanical equipment (AHUs, chillers, pumps, piping, ductwork)
  • Perform load calculations, airflow analysis, and energy modeling
  • Coordinate mechanical layouts with architectural, electrical, plumbing, and process engineering disciplines
  • Produce detailed AutoCAD or Revit MEP deliverables, ensuring compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, and relevant industry codes and standards
  • Review and incorporate client standards, master specifications, and project‐specific requirements
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and review submittals during construction administration
  • Assist in preparation of engineering cost estimates and material take‐offs
  • Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and site visits as needed
  • Mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians, providing guidance on drafting standards and project best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent
  • 5–10 years of professional mechanical design experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Mechanical and / or Revit MEP (at least one)
  • Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards, NFPA codes, and applicable mechanical design guidelines
  • Proven ability to perform load calculations, duct and piping sizing, and mechanical system analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities; comfortable collaborating across disciplines
  • Detail‐oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with pharmaceutical, biotech, or life‐science facility design
  • Familiarity with clean utilities (WFI, SIP, CIP) and process cooling systems
  • Working knowledge of energy recovery and sustainability practices
  • PE licensure or ability to obtain professional licensure within one year
  • Exposure to project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
