Our Finance Delivery Acceleration Office (DAO) sits at the heart of Atlassian’s Finance Strategy & Transformation team, bringing together experts in Finance Transformation, Technology, Program / Project Management, and Portfolio Operations. As the engine for accelerating finance’s project delivery, DAO leads high-impact work that makes Atlassian’s finance operations more scalable, efficient, and future-ready. We drive the adoption of best-in-class PMO methodologies and delivery frameworks, partnering with global stakeholders to enable project excellence across the Finance organization. This is a fully remote role, working primarily on a PST / CST schedule, and collaborating with teams around the world.

About The Role

Atlassian is seeking a Senior Finance Program Manager with extensive experience in program and project management, M&A, and finance to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Finance Transformation team to drive the delivery execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives—delivering key components of multi-year programs and projects that enable transformational change and operational excellence. You will oversee delivery governance activities and provide hands-on support for other high priority Finance project delivery as needed.

As part of our expanding Finance Delivery Acceleration Office function, you will help establish industry-leading PMO methodologies, templates, and processes designed for a high-growth SaaS environment. Your success will be defined by your ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage a diverse portfolio of Finance projects, all in support of our future-state vision for Finance.

This position requires proven experience leading Finance Transformation and M&A initiatives in a project management capacity. You will be adept at fostering collaboration among stakeholders, influencing executive leadership, adapting to shifting priorities, and ensuring meaningful impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead program management of finance-related projects (including the Finance integration for M&A), as well as the Finance components of cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Support finance transformation project delivery, including driving activities around requirement gathering, detailed design, and testing and implementation support as needed.
• Develop detailed roadmaps, project posters, project plans, timelines, templates, and deliverables related to Finance Transformation work efforts to establish best-in-class program governance.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams—including Finance, Engineering, RevOps, Business Partners, and other stakeholders—to achieve project milestones and deliver results.
• Own the communications strategy for assigned programs and individual projects, including executive-level updates, status updates, and presenting at ongoing program governance cadences (e.g., MBRs, QBRs).
• Collaborate with value realization work streams to provide meaningful executive updates around impacted metrics, project benefits, and OKRs across transformation programs and projects.
• Apply systems thinking to assess the interconnectedness of people, processes, and technology, addressing dependencies holistically, and identify themes and patterns across projects to uncover opportunities for improvement.
• Establish structure and momentum from ambiguity, creating clarity and actionable plans for stakeholders and teams, working closely with project sponsors, leads, cross-functional teams, and other program managers.
• Ensure consistent ongoing clarity around scope, deliverables, resources, risks, and decisions to establish operational excellence across governance activities.
• Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence in all finance-related initiatives.
