Job Type : TEMP / Saturday-Wednesday 6 am-2 : 30 pm

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Materials Distribution Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely handling of medical supplies and materials, including receiving, shipping, and distributing internal mail. Although this position does not directly manage caregivers, it plays a crucial role in supporting the operational efficiency of our healthcare system.

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Distribution :

Deliver stock and non-stock supplies to all departments and off-site locations.

  • Manage stock levels and maintain organization in the par areas.
  • Shipping & Receiving :

    • Accurately receive products into the system and prepare outgoing freight.

  • Maintain a returned goods report to track credits.
  • Mail Services :

    • Sort, deliver, and distribute all organizational mail accurately and promptly.

  • Customer Service :

    • Provide excellent service through timely deliveries, responsive email communication, and attentive phone support.

  • Team Collaboration :

    • Foster positive team interactions and contribute to departmental meetings with input on safety, process improvements, and accomplishments.

  • Storage & Inventory Control :

    • Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas.

  • Participate in inventory counts and ensure accurate picking of inventory items.
  • Safety :

    • Prioritize safety in all tasks, including proper lifting techniques and maintaining a clean work environment.

  • Actively participate in monthly safety meetings.
  • Organizational Support :

    • Uphold the organization's mission, vision, and values.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all activities.

    • Qualifications

  • Education :

    • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Skills & Abilities :

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for inventory and email systems.
