Overview

The Director of Clinical Access Operations is responsible to support and sustain the mission and vision of the organization through aligning multiple clinical / operational departments within the Clinical Practice Group while fostering interdepartmental collaboration in the development of high-quality experiences and efficient operations across the continuum for our patients. This role is responsible for the management of ambulatory initiatives including managing of major initiatives and programs being conducted across the ambulatory enterprise along with process improvement initiatives. This role will be a key strategic thought partner with Children's Mercy leaders and the single point of contact for projects overseen by this role. The Clinical Access Operations will maintain a systematic approach to sizing opportunities, developing business cases and supervising implementation. This leader will develop business relationships and communication strategies to drive operational transformation. The Clinical Access Operations uses knowledge of healthcare environments, management consulting skills, innovation frameworks, processes optimization skills, change management and continuous improvement methodologies, measurements, and tools to analyze issues, develop and implement solutions and drive operational transformation within ambulatory. This role acts as a role model and steward to the shared vision, mission, values, and service excellence standards of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for management of projects and initiatives in collaboration with Clinical Practice Group leadership and ensuring appropriate execution of high value initiatives related to clinical operations impacts on patient and family experience, clinical access, coordination of care and services and service delivery.
• Supports and sustains the mission and vision of the organization through ambulatory clinical operations by leading cross-functional teams through projects and initiatives using Lean principles and change management strategies.
• Collaborates with multiple partners including VP and SVP leadership, clinical leadership, business leadership, and various committees on new strategies or new approaches to increase access, improve patient experience, enhance care coordination and develop clinical programs to deliver high-quality services and align with strategic goals.
• Utilizes process improvement and Lean methodology to solve problems, escalate issues, and create highly reliable processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years experience upper-level leadership / management or finance experience. Knowledge of hospital or medical management experience in specialty area or general pediatrics (Inpatient, Ambulatory, or private practice setting) preferred. or

Master's Degree MSN, MSA or MHA preferred and 3-5 years experience upper-level leadership / management or finance experience. Knowledge of hospital or medical management experience in specialty area or general pediatrics (Inpatient, Ambulatory, or private practice setting) preferred.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $47.55 / hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work / Work From Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
