Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our team.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python and PyTorch, along with 3-5 years of experience deploying ML / AI models to production. This role requires excellent analytics skills and a good working knowledge of Databricks. You will work closely with data scientists, clinicians, software engineers, and product teams to design, build, and optimize scalable machine learning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and optimize machine learning models using PyTorch and other ML frameworks.
• Deploy and maintain ML models in production environments, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Utilize Databricks for data processing, model training, model deployment, and pipeline optimization.
• Deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to production for improved AI-driven applications.
• Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement ETL workflows and data pipelines.
• Perform rigorous testing, validation, and monitoring of deployed models.
• Optimize model inference for low latency and high throughput applications.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business problems into ML solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and AI deployment strategies.

Welldoc operates in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments.  Therefore, it is expected that all employees will have either, prior experience working in  those environments or, will be trained to understand the requirements needed to work and support those requirements and culture as they relate to individual roles and responsibilities.

Welldoc offers a competitive compensation package which, in addition to salary, includes generous PTO, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision care, life and disability insurance, retirement benefits and the opportunity to participate in health savings accounts and / or dependent care accounts. The anticipated salary range for this position is 100-140K / year with the expectation that most candidates will fall around the midpoint of the range. Candidates who exceed the required and preferred qualifications may be considered for an annual salary in excess of the budgeted range.

Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, you may be required to complete and clear a multi-panel drug screening process.  This screening is in connection with requirements set by certain of the Company’s customers, with which you may be working in this role, and will at all times be administered under all applicable laws.
