Oracle / SQL DBA (Advanced Oracle Data Guard)

Job Summary (Senior Oracle / SQL Database Administrator) :

• Serve as the sole DBA responsible for maintaining and optimizing critical Oracle (v19) and SQL Server (2019 / 2022) databases
• Perform 80% hands-on DBA work and 20% project coordination
• Provide on-call support for emergency issues and participate in monthly after-hours release cycles
• Collaborate closely with project manager and development manager
• Operate independently to identify opportunities solve problems and maintain high attention to detail
• Administer databases on Linux and Windows environments
• Manage Exadata RMAN OEM and shell scripting tasks
• Ensure robust backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Perform SQL profiling index tuning and PL / SQL scripting
• Coordinate and manage projects as needed
• Document procedures changes and troubleshooting steps thoroughly
• Uphold strong communication analytical and problem-solving skills
• Be available for emergencies and scheduled after-hours work
• Work fully onsite in Dallas TX with potential for a 4-day onsite schedule after initial months
• No visa sponsorship available; must be able to convert to permanent without sponsorship
