Landscaping Technician

Job Summary : Provides technical landscape and design assistance for projects. Maintains the appearance and condition of property grounds and landscape.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operates all equipment necessary to complete job function.
• Install drainage systems, irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences and planters.
• Maintains irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring.
• Plan and cultivate lawns and gardens.
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs and hedges using shears, pruners and chain saws.
• Rake, mulch and compost leaves.
• Trim and pick flowers and clean flower beds.
• Weeding, brush clearing, pond(water feature) maintenance, gravel road maintenance.
• Water lawns, trees and plants using portable sprinkler systems, hoses or watering cans.
• Build forms and mix and pour cement to form garden borders.
• Maintain and repair tools, equipment and structures such as fences and benches using power tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager
