Position Summary

As an Emergency Medical Technician, you will provide immediate medical care to individuals in emergencies, including accidents, sudden illnesses, and critical health situations. You will be responsible for delivering pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support until patients are transferred to a receiving facility.

Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as an ambassador for the ambulance service at public events, providing standby services as required.
• Document comprehensive patient assessments and treatments using our charting software.
• Support patients experiencing psychiatric, medical, or traumatic crises with appropriate care.
• Collaborate as part of a two-member ambulance crew to respond effectively to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Utilize advanced life support equipment, including resuscitation devices and defibrillators.
• Assess the severity of injuries or illnesses to prioritize appropriate medical interventions.
• Respond to dispatcher instructions, driving emergency vehicles safely and efficiently
• Administer medications via injections or intravenous procedures under physician guidance.
• Communicate with medical personnel during patient transfers for coordinated care.
• Ensure thorough cleaning and decontamination of the ambulance after transporting patients with infectious diseases, reporting as necessary.

Physical Demands :

Must be able to lift over 50 lbs, push / pull up to 140 lbs, and carry 80 lbs for short distances. Frequent standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching overhead may be required.
