Schedule : Per Diem (Flex), non-exempt | Must be able to work 3 (three) days per month, with 2 (two) days being weekend shifts. Required to work 2 holidays per year. Holidays will be scheduled in advance and solely at the discretion of Green House homes department

Pay Range : Pay range : $21.61 - $23.69 / hr. (this rate is inclusive of the $3.40 / hr. Michigan Skilled Nursing Facility Direct Care Worker Pass-Through approved rate; current approval through September 30, 2025)

Shift Differentials, Holiday, and Weekend Differentials : Beginning 11 pm – 6 : 59 am, $0.75 | Weekend Fri, 11 pm - Sun 10 : 59 pm, $0.50.

Team Member to Elder ratio : 1 : 5 on day and evening and 1 : 10 on night

What You’ll Do in This Role :

As a Shahbaz , you’ll play a vital role in protecting, sustaining, and nurturing the lives of the elders in our care. This unique position goes beyond traditional caregiving—it’s about building meaningful relationships and supporting a rich, dignified elderhood.

Shahbazim provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, while also creating a warm, home-like environment through cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and more. Your care helps foster independence, respect, and a high quality of life for each elder.

Primary Responsibilities :

As a Shahbaz, you’ll be at the heart of resident care—providing not just support, but connection, dignity, and compassion in every interaction. Your responsibilities will include :

Personalized Resident Care : Support elders with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility, all while promoting their autonomy, dignity, and well-being.

Engagement & Companionship : Lead meaningful, personalized activities that reflect each resident’s preferences and life story. Build genuine relationships that enrich daily life.

Home Environment Support : Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home by assisting with housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation based on resident needs and preferences.

Communication & Collaboration : Work closely with nursing and clinical teams to follow care plans, report changes in condition, and ensure seamless, person-centered care.

Documentation & Compliance : Accurately chart care and follow safety, confidentiality, and infection control protocols while staying current through ongoing training and education.
