Job Description :
- The Technician will be responsible for PC / Laptop Refresh and Imaging; prepare, deploying, and maintaining workstations (laptops and desktops) for end-users, ensuring that new and refreshed devices are ready for use with the required operating system, software, and configurations. This role involves hands-on technical work, including hardware setup, imaging, software installation, and basic troubleshooting.
- Imaging and deployment : Create, update, and deploy desktop / laptop images using tools like Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) or similar solutions, ensuring devices meet company standards and have necessary software and configurations.
- Hardware and software management : Manage hardware upgrades, software integration, and the monthly deployment of security patches. Maintain detailed records of refresh processes, configurations, and inventory.
- Troubleshooting and support : Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software, responding to or escalating service requests and incidents promptly.
- Documentation and training : Document procedures, user interactions, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Assist with creating end-user documentation and provide training on new setups.
- Inventory management : Track and manage hardware inventory throughout the refresh cycle, including asset details, serial numbers, and the disposition of old equipment
