Prince Service & Manufacturing and its portfolio of manufacturing companies are experiencing rapid growth, earning a spot on the Inc. 5000 list and setting the standard for being the preferred employer in Middle Georgia. We are seeking a proven Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function across multiple business units, strengthen culture, and drive strategic people initiatives that reduce turnover and elevate our reputation as an employer of choice.

This is not a “policy enforcer” role—it’s a leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, growth-oriented manufacturing environment, and enjoys being both strategic and hands-on.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Department Management

  • Lead and develop a high-performing HR team, ensuring clear accountability, role clarity, and professional growth.
  • Establish HR department structure, processes, and priorities in alignment with business goals.
  • Serve as the senior-most HR authority for all business units reporting into the leadership team.

Culture, Retention & Engagement

  • Translate the CEO’s vision of becoming the preferred employer of Middle Georgia into actionable HR strategies.
  • Partner with leadership to lower turnover rates and improve employee satisfaction across business units.
  • Maintain a visible, approachable presence to build trust and credibility with employees.
  • Ensure a calm, steady, and solutions-focused approach to conflict resolution and employee relations.
  • Talent Management & Development

  • Oversee recruitment strategies in partnership with internal and external resources, ensuring the attraction and retention of skilled trade and manufacturing talent.
  • Work with pay grade progression plans, training pathways, and internal mobility strategies.
  • Facilitate creation of training documentation (e.g., pay grade progression, onboarding materials) in partnership with subject matter experts.
  • Compliance & Employee Relations

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (OSHA, FLSA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA).
  • Proactively monitor labor relations trends in the region; maintain a positive environment.
  • Lead resolution of complex employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Compensation, Benefits & Payroll

  • Oversee benefits administration through HR staff, ensuring quality vendor partnerships and problem resolution for employees.
  • Engage with payroll and accounting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper process handoffs.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to benefits and compensation programs to remain competitive in the market.
  • Systems & Process Improvement

  • Select and implement a human resources information system (HRIS) such as BambooHR or equivalent, driving automation and data accuracy.
  • Use HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, cost of hire, etc.) to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Requirements

    Experience & Background

  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership, including at least 3 years at the Director level or equivalent.
  • Proven track record in a growth focused manufacturing or industrial environment with 300–500+ employees.
  • History of building and leading HR teams in multi-site operations.
  • Experience reducing turnover and strengthening retention in skilled trades, industrial or production settings.
  • Familiarity with both strategic HR planning and hands-on execution.
  • Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional leadership and team development skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategy to organizational growth.
  • Confident communicator with a calm, steady demeanor under pressure.
  • Comfortable making decisions, implementing systems, and driving change in a fast-growth environment.
  • Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
