What Does a Large Loss Project Manager Do?

At Paul Davis Restoration, we help homeowners and businesses rebuild after disaster strikes. As a Large Loss Project Manager, you'll play a vital leadership role in overseeing the reconstruction and renovation of residential and commercial properties affected by fire, flood, storm, or other catastrophic events. In this position, you will manage every phase of the restoration processfrom initial intake and estimating through project completionensuring each job is delivered on time, within budget, and to Paul Davis' high standards of quality and customer care. You'll collaborate closely with property owners, insurance representatives, subcontractors, project coordinators, and field technicians to drive results and maintain clear, proactive communication throughout each project.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the Paul Davis core values by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and respect in every customer and team interaction.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for property owners, insurance partners, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure full compliance with Paul Davis policies, procedures, safety standards, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with Foremen, In-House Tradesmen, Estimators, and Project Coordinators to align schedules, progress, and deliverables.
• Partner closely with a Project Coordinator to ensure all project documentation, contracts, and compliance forms are accurate and completed on time.
• Collaborate with insurance representatives and property owners to provide updates, manage expectations, and ensure timely resolution of all restoration-related matters.
• Review, approve, and oversee all project estimates and scopes of work for accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage projects from $100,000 to $500,000, ensuring completion within budget, scope, and quality standards.
• Achieve key operational metrics, including Sales, Gross Margin, Job Closings, and Net Promoter Score (NPS) goals.
• Track and analyze performance metrics during bi-weekly goal-setting and review meetings to drive continuous improvement.
• Confirm budgets, work orders, and resource allocations prior to project kickoff to ensure proper alignment and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners to enhance performance and collaboration.
• Foster positive interdepartmental communication to ensure alignment between field operations, estimating, and administrative teams.
• Regularly assess work quality, accuracy, and compliance to uphold the Paul Davis standard of excellence.
